Can You Push an Address to Android Auto?

Is it possible to "push" an address to android auto and for it to start navigating to? Maybe something like an trusted device or app or protocol or something?

I have an idea I'd like to create for a custom modification where you could push a button in my car (which would be connected to something) and for android auto to start navigating to a specified destination. It's only an idea right now and I'm just wondering if there is any protocol or something for me to look at.
