The proposal to lock guaranteed account recovery behind a paywall is disgusting and unforgivable

Let’s just pause for a second and remember that we have invested YEARS of our lives playing this game! The fact you could lose absolutely everything you’ve ever worked for if your account becomes compromised because the player support is non existent and the account recovery process is not fit for purpose is a very scary thought. That’s why the community has been calling for real player support for as long as I can remember.

With that in mind, it’s fucking wild to me that Jagex would propose guaranteed account recovery being locked behind a paywall when it should already exist and be free. I bet a lot of players have the dreaded “what if?” thought about their account being compromised and not being able to get it back. It’s sickening, shameful and downright disrespectful to the community of passionate players by trying to monetise player support / account recovery when we’ve been calling for it for as long as I can remember.
